2021 marked 10 years of collaboration between grammy nominated artist Eric GALES and MAGNETO® Guitars. The 2022 released "Crown" album produced by Joe BONAMASSA has hit record sales in the Blues album cathegory.
MAGNETO® guitars has produced several custom versions of the Eric GALES “RawDawg” guitar in the past years, we have always worked on the same type of body and neck combinations but we have tried to add a new feature at every new rendition making it a high grade instrument with a solid price tag.
In early 2020, we started to talk about the idea of producing a new Signature guitar that would be made available to a broader audience. We kept on talking with Eric and tried many options and we have also developed specific parts for that guitar. An important part of the plan was to develop a specific range of single coil pickups that would have the dynamics and great midrange response which play an important role in Eric’s guitar tone.
The MAGNETO Eric GALES RD3 will feature a basswood body as well as a roasted maple neck with a rosewood fingerboard. The new signature model is available in Sunset Gold finish and will sport a Gold mirror pickguard and backplate, a Gotoh tremolo, Gotoh tuners as well as the new Magneto Metro-Poles EG1 pickups.

The Velvet Deluxe is a redesign of the former Velvet Custom, the original idea is to offer a 24 ¾” set-neck guitar with a lighter weight and pickups specifically tailored for both great clean and overdriven tones.
The body is made of African Mahogany that is chambered with a carved top. The neck is made of African Mahogany and a Rosewood fingerboard adorned with the Magneto Rhombus inlays. A bone nut will ensure best tonal response. The Velvet headstock has a 14° angle and sports Grover Tuners. The neck to body transition was sculpted in order to ensure the best access to the higher fret positions.
The Velvet Deluxe was designed to have a broader tonal range; fat and focussed mids when played with drive but enough treble and quack to serve the classic clean tones.
The new Magneto® Metro Pole MAC-5 humbuckers are wound around Alnico 5 Magnets and offer rich harmonics with a tight and precise bass response. They are controlled by a 3-Wav switch, a master tone and a master volume.
The Velvet Deluxe will be available as of May 2024 in the new Silk finishes such as Metallic Green Silk, Candy Apple Red Silk, Metallic Orange Silk and Sunset Gold Silk.
